I'm Gib, a motion designer, editor, and former fine dining chef based out of Los Angeles.

I spent much of college missing class to work with video game mod teams, teaching myself 3D modeling and game design. After graduating, I went back to school to become a chef, spending several years in fine dining, before deciding to return to art and computers.
I began dabbling in After Effects 8 years ago while interning for a marketing startup, and my computer science degree and love of art and design spurred me to become proficient in the software, while picking up other skills along the way.
There's something about being able to pour attention into the movement of abstract shapes that captures my imagination, and my passion is to share that with the world, bringing client's ideas to life in motion.

Anytime I'm on a team and can make teammates lives a little easier by streamlining, templatizing, building out rigs, organizing assets and helping translate between departments, that's a huge bonus, too.

My areas of expertise are logo animation, title design, template building via expressions and Essential Graphics, 2D special effects and particles, and video editing.
