Since 2013, the People vs Food YouTube channel has built a massive following among Gen Z and young Millennials with its food-themed gameshows, pop culture references, and energetic cast of returning participants.
Working alongside the writers and producers, I helped refresh the channel’s visual identity, designing a suite of 20+ custom motion graphics templates. These included scorecards, timers, name tags, and playful speech bubble popups, giving editors dynamic tools to enhance their projects.
My goal when designing graphics packages is to let video editors focus on what they do best—editing—without worrying about text padding, timing, or sizing. To achieve this, I use expressions to auto-fit boxes and shapes to text, reducing the need for extra "width" and "height" sliders in Premiere.
If I can make the team's workflow smoother while enabling consistency across the brand, that’s always a win in my book.
